The IDD Community Support Services Program 1915(i) is funded through the Mississippi State Division of Medicaid’s State Plan. The target individual/group for IDD Community Support Program Services (1915(i)) will be a person with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. In addition to being diagnosed with an intellectual/developmental disability, it must also be determined that the person meets the needs-based eligibility criteria which include the existence of significant functional limitations in three or more areas of major life activity: receptive/expressive language, learning, self-care, mobility, self-direction, capacity for independent living and economic self-sufficiency. The person does not have to meet ICF/IID level of care.
The 1915 (i) State Plan services include:
- Day Services Adult- Assists people in gaining the greatest level of independence, while supporting them in meaningful activities of their choice throughout the day.
- Pre-vocational Services – Teaches pre-employment skills and assists in exploring job opportunities in the community.
- Supported Employment – Provides a job coach to assist in finding a job and training the person to work independently.
- Supported Living – Provides persons who can live independently in their own home or apartment with limited support (maximum: 4 hrs./day) to access their community, pay bills, shop for groceries, access medical care, and other personal assistance, as needed.
- Targeted Case Management – Case Management services for people served through 1915 (i) will be provided by Targeted Case Management (TCM) located at Hudspeth Regional Center.
